Your tax deductible donations really do help. Our goal since the beginning has been to offer a place for people to gain strength and mobility through exercise at an affordable price. Our classes are only $7.50 per session and gym membership is not required. However even at such a low price, many people simply cannot afford to come. Your donation will provide a scholarship for someone who otherwise could not afford to attend.

Learn how you can get involved with Foundation for Movement.

 Move to Improve is a low impact , low intensity, semi private training program for people with physical limitations. This group program consists of light cardio, strength, posture, core and balance exercises as well as gentle stretching. Most of the exercises are performed in chairs. This program began in 2006 and is led by N.A.S.M. certified personal trainer Jennifer Jones. The classes are held at Total Woman Fitness of Bakersfield and gym membership is not required.

   In 2014, the non-profit (501(C)(3) Foundation for Movement was formed to expand the Move to Improve program and to provide education and resources for the program.
